Steering Committee

The Steering Committee members coordinate the efforts of the various booths and activities. They recruit volunteers. They ensure that materials and supplies are obtained. They ensure liquor licenses are obtained and outside contractors/venders have insurance. They refer contracts, gambling and money issues to the Parish Administrator.  They secure weekend music entertainment. They arrange for security, sanitation and promotions on local radio and the parish bulk mailing of the festival flyers that announce all booths, chair people and special activities with the publicity chair.
They help out where needed prior to and during the fall festival.

• Commitment. Attend planning meetings starting in June. Help with construction on Saturday morning and be in attendance during the festival on Saturday and Sunday. Assist with tear down of the booths/tents. It is a three year commitment so that we always have someone with experience assisting someone new that is joining us.

Festival Chair

The Festival Chairs operate the booths and activities. They make requests to the Steering Committee for materials and volunteers. They help with construction and setup of the booths, collect tickets/money & award prizes.

• Commitment. Varies according to activity. Some Chairs work one day of the festival. Some work the entire weekend. Some split shifts with other volunteers. All festival chairs are responsible to make a volunteers sign-up sheet for the Gathering Space so parishioners can sign up to work at a booth. If the chair cannot attend a planning meeting, they are asked to call their assigned Steering Committee member and give an update on their booth so that everyone can be informed of needs or progress.
