Director of Youth Ministry
Kym Allex joined our parish in the fall of 2008 as the part-time Director of Youth Ministry for our middle school and high school youth. She is originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, however she openly welcomes her new Minnesota home as she learns what such things like “hot dish” and “pop” are references to. Kym’s family recently moved to Buffalo, MN, but fondly shares co-parishonership at St. Henry’s and St. Francis Xavier. Prior to her position at St. Henry’s, Kym worked for St. John’s University’s Campus Ministry as Retreat Director, as well as St. Stephen’s parish youth minister.
Kym and her husband, Preston, have three beautiful children- Bella (3), Teigan (2) and Malachi (1). When Kym is not working with the youth of the parish, she enjoys praying and playing with her two toddlers and baby, capturing moments with her photography skills, growing in faith through daily mass and family rosaries, and reading great faith-filled books on how to engage her family deeper into their faith journey together. She also enjoys thrift store hunting and antiquing for wonderful religious items!
